Antique Primitive Farmhouse Repurposed Wood Hanging Candle Sconces (2)
$170.00
This unique pair of candle sconces is crafted from repurposed textile mill components—likely vintage wooden shuttle racks or tension comb boards. Each board features a series of grooved channels, once used in industrial weaving operations, now transformed into primitive wall décor. One piece retains the original “DUREX” manufacturer stamp, a known name in early American textile machinery. Paired with simple metal candle holders, these sconces offer a striking blend of industrial history and rustic charm. Originally part of early-to-mid 20th century mill equipment, they were likely repurposed into sconces during the American primitive décor revival of the 1970s to 1990s.
